Donald Michel Bakker

  • Former neighbours of Donald Michel Bakker reacted with shock yesterday to the news that the quiet family man had been arrested and charged in connection with violent and sadistic sexual acts on Vancouver sex-trade workers and children in South East Asia.

  • Jeremy J. Ballard, 33, was sentenced to between one and 15 years in prison Monday after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography.

  • Donald Maclai BATENCHU has a history of sexual offences against women and children, including sex assault with a weapon, sexual interference, uttering threats and forcible entry. He often attacked strangers. Batenchuk had been jailed after a 2002 sex assault in which he held a knife to a woman's throat while threatening to kill her. He wasn't granted parole in serving his sentence.

Ron Bencze

  • Ron Bencze pleaded guilty to one count of child sex assault last summer. The court heard that the former radio and TV reporter sexually assaulted the victim, who is now in his teens, between March 2003 and December 2010, when the boy was between the ages of six and 14. It wasn't until the boy's mother discovered sexually explicit text messages on her son's phone that Bencze's actions were uncovered.

    Eight other charges allegedly involving two other children were stayed.

  • A 24-year-old Mississauga man whose home is used as a daycare centre appears for a bail hearing this morning following his arrest on charges of possessing and distributing child pornography.

  • Paul Blackwell, 63, of Toronto is charged with five counts of sexual assault, five counts of gross indecency, two counts of overcoming resistance to commission of offence, assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.

Carol Bowditch

  • Carol Bowditch, 64, was caught on camera having sex with a St Bernard, a black Labrador and an Alsatian – but walked free after claiming she did not realise it was illegal.

  • Russell Bray was arrested after a joint operation by Peel Regional Police and the Toronto Police Service's sex crimes unit.

    Detectives said an examination of his home computer last week revealed images of "very young" children engaged in sex acts with adults.

  • Michael Briere pleads guilty to Holly Jones's murder. The man who pleaded guilty to murdering 10-year-old Holly Jones at a Toronto court Thursday morning fulfilled his “dark secret” when he abducted, sexually assaulted, and dismembered her shortly after viewing and becoming aroused by child pornography (sexually assaulted, murdered, dismembered Holly Jones - 2003 – he had no history of violence or inappropriate interaction with children)

Douglas Brown

  • Former Upper Canada College teacher Douglas Brown groped a student as he lay in his dormitory bed after the lights were out, a court was told yesterday

    Doug Brown, a former teacher at a prestigious private school in Ontario, has been found guilty on nine charges of indecent assault on young boys at the school.

    In delivering his verdict Friday, Ontario Superior Court Justice Harry LaForme said he believes the hazy memories of all seven former UCC students over Brown's denials.

    Class-action lawsuit that argued the Attorney-General of Canada was negligent and did not protect cadets from being prey to sexual misconduct. It also named as defendants the Navy League of Canada, as well as officers Ralph Bremner, Conrad Sundman, Beverly Wilson and the executive estate of the late Clarence Anderson

    Former high school teacher Mark Baggio, convicted for having sex with students, Thursday blamed one his victims for her emotional troubles, saying the young woman has refused counselling and medication.

    Baggio is fighting a civil lawsuit by the woman. He is legally liable for damages, Superior Court Justice Thomas Carey has already ruled. Now, the judge must assess how much Baggio will pay.

    The woman, who originally claimed $6.8 million in damages, is now seeking just over $500,000 plus legal costs. She is also seeking damages for loss of future income, but that will be determined at a later time.

    Baggio, who was a guidance counsellor, religion teacher and coach at F.J. Brennan high school, was convicted in 2008 of sexual assault, sexual exploitation and luring a child for the intimate relationship he had with Jane Doe beginning in 2002 when she was 14 years old.
